Vinatur had a second chance to present itself over its national borders, on Tuesday, 19th November and it was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the host country.
The day of informative activities and tastings was attended by a considerable number of experts in the field who were all keen to find out more about the subjects proposed and to have new tasting experiences. Many of the businesses who are not yet present on the Scandinavian market had the chance to come face to face with importers and restaurateurs, who are always on the look out for new small businesses to propose to their customers who are crying out for more personal and niche products. The conference “Natural wine and human health” was attended by 90 journalists and importers, all listening attentively to subjects the on the agenda. Starting with an introduction by Isabelle Legeron, who underlined the concept of Natural Wine, providing, in our opinion, a very clear and concise definition of it. Then continuing with Angiolino Maule, president of VinNatur, who spoke of the history and aims of the association. The conference finished with the two key interventions of the event which were that of professor Diego Tomasi from the experimental centre of Conegliano Veneto and that of dott.sa Laura Di Renzo from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome. Specific posts dedicated to these can be found at https://www.vinnatur.org/2013/11/22/tutti-i-dettagli-di-vinsalut-ad-oslo-in-anteprima/
The afternoon wine tasting, which started at 13.30 was attended by 60 importers, 160 restaurateurs, 45 among staff and operators from Vinmonopolet (the Norwegian monopoly for wine sales to private customers), 30 among journalists, press officials and bloggers, as well as many enthusiasts and consumers.
The results were excellent, obtained thanks to the close collaboration with the organizers of the event and to the international recognition that natural wines and our association are enjoying. We would like to thank Oliver Fauvel for the organizing the event, the Haute les Vins association and all the guests who took part as well as all the staff who worked towards the event’s perfect success!
