Visitor Information

VinNatur is a formative association for emerging young winemakers and for those who may have experience on their shoulders but who know that you never actually stop learning.

Attending a VinNatur fair means sharing the same passion for learning and discovering new things.

—

Each of the VinNatur winemakers have a different story to tell, but there is one common theme – the desire to put the terroir of their homeland into a wine bottle, while making as little impact as possible on the environment and making a wine that is authentic and alive.

VinNatur was founded in 2006 but many of our members have been making wine in this way since before then. A long time before terms such as “regenerative agriculture” or “natural wine” became trendy buzz words. Natural wine is at the forefront of the sustainable food and beverage movement. By choosing natural wines, you’re supporting small, eco-conscious producers who prioritize environmental health and biodiversity. This is your chance to align your love of wine with values of sustainability and mindful consumption.

Come to our event and you will have the opportunity to taste 200 different wines made by growers in Italy, Spain, Austria and Argentina. Walk around, sip, spit, discuss, learn.

About The Event

SOLD OUT!! We are thrilled by the amazingly positive welcome we have received from this city but we have reached the maximum capacity for the event. See you next time?

—

OPEN TO PUBLIC & TRADE: Sunday 12 January, from 2pm until 6pm.

RESERVED FOR TRADE : Monday 13 Janaury, from 10am until 5pm.

This is a walk-around wine tasting; the price of the ticket gives visitors the opportunity to taste samples of all the wines open during the event.

Tickets are valid for the day you select. We advise that you arrive at the start time in order to get the most out of the fair.

The last entry to the fair is 30 minutes before closing, and exhibitors will stop pouring samples promptly at closing time.

—

We’re introducing a hybrid structure: where you will find 44 winemakers present, personally pouring their wines to you and explaining the provenance, and another 24 wineries who for ecological or financial reasons have not made the journey but have sent sample bottles for you* to try at the Tasting Table.

*most of these winemakers do not yet have representation in the USA/Canada. The Tasting Table is therefore of most interest to importers and distributors looking to start new collaborations.

Masterclasses

Learn more about natural wine during these educational sessions

The VinNatur Association was founded to share knowledge and information, between winemakers but also with a wider audience. As such, these moments of learning are really important to us as they help you understand these winemakers, what drives them, why these natural wine taste so different to what you normally find on the market.

Our masterclasses offer rare, face-to-face learning opportunities with seasoned natural wine experts. Gain insight into the nuances of natural winemaking, from sustainable farming to fermentation techniques, and learn to recognize and appreciate the unique characteristics of these wines. You’ll leave with knowledge that will deepen your appreciation for wine, elevating your future tasting experiences.

We have organised four seminars, each with a limited capacity of just 15 people. We advise you, therefore, to reserve your place in advance through Eventbrite, together with the entry ticket.

Sunday 2.30pm: “Evolution of Natural Wine in Italy” presented by VinNatur advisor, Gianpaolo Giacobbo

Monday 11.30am: “The Who, When & Why of VinNatur” with president Angiolino Maule and translation by Emma Bentley

Monday 12.45pm: “Is the future PIWI?” A conversation – and tasting – with Luisa Slotwinsky, assistant winemaker at Thomas Niedermayr.

Monday 2pm: “How Not To Sell Natural Wine” with VinNatur advisor, Gianpaolo Giacobbo

We wanted to publically say thanks to these partners, without whom the event would not have been possible.
