VinNatur continues to grow in numbers and is preparing for the 13th edition of Villa Favorita from 9 to 11 April 2016 in Sarego (Vicenza)
On SATURDAY 9TH, SUNDAY 10TH and MONDAY 11TH APRIL 2016, VILLA FAVORITA will return, the international exhibition of natural wines that VINNATUR – the natural winemakers association – organises every year in the province of Vicenza. The event will take place inside and outside the elegant seventeenth century Villa La Favorita (designed by Francesco Muttoni) which stands high on the hill dominating the peaceful Venetian plain near Monticello di Fara – Sarego.
The associated winemakers will converge here from all over Europe and in a friendly, light-hearted atmosphere will have the opportunity to talk, exchange points of view and welcome all the enthusiasts and wine drinkers who want to taste the wine produced by their commitment to natural winemaking. But that’s not all. Villa Favorita is also an important event from an economic point of view with excellent opportunities to establish relations and contacts with importers and distributors from all over the world who are on the lookout for eco-friendly wines that respect the land, the environment and health. The TASTING ROOM, which is especially popular with the hundreds of foreign traders,will once again be a privileged work “instrument” dedicated to buyers, operators and accredited journalists

Participation in the event is, as always, reserved for associated members of VinNatur, namely producers of those wines that have undergone annual chemical analyses to identify the presence of pesticides (carried out at the expense of the association at the Enocentro Laboratory of Bussolengo – VERONA –certified by Accredia and accredited by the MIPAAF – Italian Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forestry Policies).
“Because being a member of VinNatur”, explains Angiolino Maule, founder and President, “is all about making a commitment in the vineyard and the cellars, and also about being transparent and highlighting the respect and loyalty every winemaker feels for land and soil, for himself and those who choose these wines. This is a path that many have decided to take. In 2015 alone we received over fifty membership applications from winemakers all over Europe. We accepted thirty of them”.
In keeping with tradition, special attention will also be paid to the gastronomic side of the event. This year more space will be given over to the artisan producers of typical products who will exhibit in the tensile structure located in the gardens of the villa. The catering service will showcase two top quality organisations, which like VinNatur, share the production ethic and approach to raw materials. Firstly, ESMACH (www.esmach.com) which will set up a bakery workshop capable of producing a continuous batch of fresh, fragrant sourdough bread, available for all visitors to taste at the exhibitors’ tables and to accompany the wine tasting. The vegetarian menus of chef Cosimo Bicchierri will also be back thanks to the renewed partnership with the organic restaurant ERBECEDARIO (www.erbecedarioristorante.it) of Badia Calavena (Verona) on the hills of Lessinia.
The SYMBOLIC IMAGE, chosen to publicise the 13th edition of Villa Favorita, is simple and clear-cut, but also intense and filled with significance. It is the work of Chiara Clerici, a young artist from Vicenza, who won the annual competition organised by VinNatur.
